Multiple Teeth Replacement
with Dental Implants
When there are several teeth in an area that are missing, one treatment option is to have two or more implants placed and an implant supported fixed bridge made. This is a permanent solution that will look, feel and function like your natural teeth. Dental implants do not get cavities and do not crack like natural teeth. When it is needed, you are never without a nice looking temporary to replace the teeth while work is in progress.

Step In Replacing Several Teeth
With Dental Implants
The site is examined to determine if there is enough bone height and width to place an implant. If there is not, then Dr. Wiland can perform a simple procedure called bone grafting to make the bone necessary for the placement of a dental implant. If hopeless teeth are present, Dr. Wiland will talk with you about possibly having the teeth removed and the implants immediately placed.
The implants are placed and allowed to heal for about 2-3 months in most cases. If the area is visible, a temporary is delivered at the time any teeth are removed. You are never without teeth.
The implant is allowed to heal for about 2-3 months. If an abutment has not already been placed, then it is placed at this time.
You are now ready to see your general dentist to have a bridge made. The bridge that is placed onto a dental implant is very natural looking. It fits and functions just like natural teeth. It is cared for like natural teeth with normal brushing and flossing daily.
